Session: 01-01: AI for Energy Sustainability I
Paper Number: 149217
149217 - The AI-Powered Energy Transformation: Optimizing Systems and Driving Sustainability with Artificial Intelligence
Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) isn't just about self-driving cars and chatbots. The energy landscape is undergoing a rapid transformation, and AI is at the forefront of this revolution. It is poised to revolutionize the energy sector, from optimizing power grids to predicting renewable energy fluctuations to empowering smart homes. This talk will discuss the application of AI techniques in energy systems modeling, optimization, and forecasting. We will explore how AI-driven solutions can transform renewable energy integration, energy efficiency, and demand response, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape. Additionally, we will discuss the ethical considerations and potential risks associated with AI deployment in the energy sector.
